Filling in the Gaps in the Kuuku Ya'u Cultural Heritage Projects

Project summary

This project had two objectives:

The first,  to aid in the establishment of a bush-tucker nursery by providing a secure water source, and secondly to record cultural knowledge and share knowledge between Elders and Rangers. The project provided part of the funds necessary for the purchase and transport of a water storage tank to secure water to the Kuku Ya’u bush tucker nursery.

The project also provided funds for an editing suite for multimedia and provided a multimedia-training workshop. The editing suite and training allowed for cultural traditions to be recorded and disseminated across a broad variety of audiences, including the sharing knowledge between Kuku Ya’u Elders and Rangers. The recorded outputs could possibly used in a portion of website development.
