Students will gain a richer understanding of the importance of healthy food, how to grow it and how to complete the nutrient cycle through organics recycling. Inspire students and community to grow more of their own food. Jaide and Daniel Stronggrove (KBT) and Charlie of Formidable Vegetable will visit Lakeland School, Rossville School, Bloomfield and Hopevale Schools
Activities will be building a no dig garden, starting a worm farm, how to manage a worm farm, planting seedlings, planting seeds, composting, garden planning, and other simple garden tasks. The Grow Do It Program will also incorporate music in the garden, perhaps making a song about a garden task.
