Invasive pests and weeds are putting increasing pressure on Cape York Peninsula’s wetlands, waterways and native vegetation, threatening ecological health and cultural values.

Our Cape York Wildfire Resilience project is well and truly underway, with early dry season burns now completed across more than 46,000 hectares on 12 properties. These planned burns are helping improve the resilience of native vegetation to destructive wildfires. Watch our video for a closer look at the project's first aerial early dry season burns.

We recently joined Conservation Partners at Artemis Station to observe nest monitoring for the endangered Golden-shouldered Parrot.
